It is with a heavy heart that I share the devastating news of a tremendous loss for the Rayne Police Department and our community. Today, we lost one of our dedicated detectives, Javonta Flugence, in a tragic single-vehicle accident. His beloved fiancée, Amber Davy, and 2 year old child, Caroline Flugence, were also in the vehicle and, heartbreakingly, did not survive. This loss is beyond words, and our department is grieving deeply.

Please keep their family, friends, and all who knew and loved them in your thoughts and prayers. We will stand together as we navigate this difficult time.
