Notice is hereby given pursuant to Article 7, Section 23(C) of the Louisiana Constitution and R.S. 47:1705(B) that a public hearing of the City of Rayne of the Parish of Acadia will be held City Court, located at 301 E. Louisiana Ave, Rayne, LA 70578 on Monday, September 14, 2020 at 6:00 p.m. to consider levying additional or increased millage rates without further voter approval or adopting the adjusted millage rates after reassessment and rolling forward to rates not to exceed the prior year’s maximum. The estimated amount of tax revenues to be collected in the next year for General Alimony from the increased millage is $236,112.77 and the amount of increase in taxes attributable to the millage increase is $2,992.98.  The estimated amount of tax revenues to be collected in the next year for Playgrounds & Recreation from the increased millage is $166,276.00 and the amount of increase in taxes attributable to the millage increase is $2,327.87.

A complete detail of the budget is on file at City Hall and available for inspection by the general public during office hours, Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
