The Frog Festival offers something for everyone with continuous music, including Cajun, Zydeco, country, swamp pop and variety bands.

Many times each day this question or a very similar one is heard at the Rayne Chamber of Commerce office. You might call the Chamber the "Answer Headquarters" for the City of Rayne and Acadia Parish. Local citizens, visitors to the area, and interested persons from all over the country come in or call constantly, often with very unusual questions: Who can ship me some live frogs? Why are you called the Frog Capital of the World? Who restores furniture in Rayne? What's the name of that place that stuffs turkeys? Do you really have an old-fashioned dime store? What is a Frog Festival?
Kids love the frogs and can hardly wait for the exciting frog racing and jumping contests held each year at the Rayne Frog Festival. You can bring your own frog or rent one. | And the questions go on and on! But the Chamber does even more than answer those thousands of questions. Its major responsibility is to promote the economic development of the city and the area in order to build a better future for local business and industry. To fulfill this responsibility, the Chamber sponsors programs to support existing businesses, attract new ones, and enhance the quality of life in the community. The Chamber is also an equal opportunity employer and provider of services.
Even as the sun sets, the carnival rides keep going to thrill kids of all ages at the Frog Festival. | Our annual Frog Festival, held
the weekend after Labor Day, draws over 50,000 people to Rayne for exciting frog racing and jumping contests, some of the best music and food anywhere, carnival rides and the midway, and special attractions such as rock climbing and the petting zoo.

Kids love the frogs-real and stuffed-and enjoy learning a lot in the Childrens' Tent where musicians, as young as four and not over 18, are given the opportunity to play traditional Cajun fiddle and accordion music.

In addition to providing services and programs for local businesses and citizens, the Chamber also aids about 5,000 RV campers who visit the City's RV park each year. Many more thousands of visitors are given information and help in planning trips to this area and throughout Louisiana since the Chamber serves as a satellite Visitors Center for Acadia Parish.
Crowds gather! They fill every space as far as the eye can see! The Frog Festival offers
musical entertainment featuring many of the areas top bands performing continuously for three days. The crowds come for the frog racing and jumping, the queens, the excitement of constant music of all varieties, and throughout the Festival, some of the best food found anywhere in Louisiana. | The Chamber's new office building located at 107 Oak Street is well equipped to serve the local business community and Rayne's many visitors. Its spacious lobby features historic memorabilia, and offers a wide variety of frog souvenirs. It also houses a conference room that accommodates Chamber meetings and is available for rent by Chamber members and the public for small business meetings, seminars or workshops. The facility, grounds and parking are fully handicapped accessible.
Food booths at the Frog Festival offer the crowds a wide variety from which to choose, ranging from the usual barbeque hamburger to Cajun and seafood specialties, and many other sandwiches and snack foods |
Stop by for a visit and a cup of coffee when you're in Rayne-or if you have a question that needs an answer, write, call, FAX or e-mail us, and we promise you a rapid reply.

Thrilling carnival rides bring smiles to the faces of both young and old at the Frog Festival. |
Frogs aplenty greet over 50,000 visitors entering the gates at the annual Rayne Frog Festival, which will be held the
weekend after Labor Day.
| Rayne Chamber Board Members Linda Robichaux and Louis Nugent admire the historical mural on the front of the Chamber office building. The mural is a reproduction of a 1903 advertising postcard used by the Jacques Weil Frog Shipping Company that gave Rayne her name as the "Frog Capital of the World."
